When the WES RIDE brand was founded, it launched a fully customized top-level series of leather jackets, which were made by two senior local craftsmen in the United States. They retired due to injuries and old age in the past few years and no longer took orders for production. Later, in order to continue the service of fully customized leather clothing and provide good workmanship and quality, WEST RIDE also found local professional workers in Japan in 2017 and converted the product line to Japanese fully customized leather clothing.
However, there is only one craftsman in Japan who sews all by hand, and all customization needs must be taken into account, including adjustment of shoulder width, chest width, length of clothing, length of sleeves, width of armholes, etc. In terms of leather, there are also cowhide, You can choose between goatskin, deerskin, and horsehide. In addition, you can choose through-dye or tea core leather for the leather texture. The rest include the gloss of the leather surface, the overall weight, the brand selection of hardware zippers, lining, belt loops, Seam color, etc.
In the end, it was discovered that it is difficult to estimate the time and effort that craftsmen spend on a single product, which greatly lengthened the delivery time for each custom-made leather jacket, and forced WEST RIDE to slow down and re-evaluate its plans. The painting pauses.
This leather jacket was ordered in advance by May Club four years ago. However, when the plan was interrupted, this leather jacket has become a masterpiece of Japan's custom-made leather jackets!
The main body is in the shape of a straight-pull lapel leather jacket, and the gorgeous details refer to the motorcycle leather jackets produced by STAR GLOVE Company for the California police in the late 1940s. There are hand pockets on the left and right sides, and the wide belt loop is a faithful replica of the configuration that could be worn to fix the holster through the police belt at that time. The flexible folds on the back and the leather straps on both sides of the waist also have a charming old-fashioned feel!
The custom-made leather is specially made of matte-finished tea core cowhide. The classic and versatile black color vaguely reveals the brown texture of the inner layer, and the stitching is brown to increase the three-dimensionality and visual appearance. In terms of hardware, the combination of brass fasteners and leather is very eye-catching, and the details of the Universal zipper, an old American zipper manufacturer, are also worth savoring.
The lining is made of light nylon fiber, which can maintain a comfortable and smooth feel even if you sweat. A brown sheep's wool collar is also available for the collar. The detachable design allows you to install it freely according to the season and needs, and of course the windshield. The details are still not sloppy at all.
The thick leather texture is the most fun to enjoy growing up. It has the rough appearance of the United States and the delicate workmanship details of Japan. It is recommended to friends who like American antique leather jackets.
